Vintage Stories WW11
I recently acquired some vintage images from WW11. They were a series of photos that were taken by a soldier that trekked from Melbourne to the Top End before being deployed to the Pacific.
These photos give insight into what life was like and what the soldiers encountered on this trek. Although the photos were quite small (45mm x 60mm) I wanted to enhance them all these years later to tell this personal story.
The photos were taken by a distant relative from the Widmer family who after, being deployed saw action and was captured. He survived being a prisoner of War on Ambon.

Original Photograph was 6cm x 8cm
